My friend Caitlin noticed that whenever I draw something, it’s usually frowning/unhappy. Today we counted the figures in my sketchbook, and according to her, it was frowns 7, smiles 3.
WHELP, I decided to turn the tide on what I’m calling the War of Demonstrated Inner Psychology by drawing an entire PAGE of smiling things.
It as a bit tough to think of what to draw, but I’m really happy with the outcome. For those who are interested, it started with the tall sideways person and ended up with the happy office worker at the bottom.
Squinchley McJoe started as an attempt to draw a cocksure/smug character, but without a mirror, he quickly morphed into someone who seems to have just realized that 20 years ago he walked into the wrong meeting and forgot to leave.
Boy Howdy and Gabby the Friendly Resistor are the favourites of Caitlin and I, followed closely by the skinny duck with huge eyes, and Fat Happy, the fat duck with tiny eyes.
