Cat Carry

This thing took awhile to figure out, but I like to think that if it were real, you could actually get it to work the way it should.
It’s a drawing of a thing I call the “Cat Carry,” ‘cause its movement is based on the way cats walk. They move both legs on one side of their body before moving over to the other side, and their paws directly register - that is to say, they place their rear paws almost exactly where the front ones were. This both guarantees a sure footing, and a minimization of tracks left behind.
The practise of basing designs on the way nature is structured or how it behaves is called Biomimicry, and I took a class on this subject when I was at OCAD University.
I also like how goofy it looks.
